Handing in Samples - All samples must be handed into the Practice by 2pm. This is to allow time for them to be logged in and transported to the laboratory for testing. Samples handed in after this time may not be tested and could require a further sample to be provided.

Out of Hours Information

During the hours of 18:00 to 08:00 weekdays and weekends, NHS 24 provides the out-of-hours emergency services, and can be contacted on 111 .  This service is for emergencyadvice and emergency treatment only. 

When calling with symptoms you will be asked for your:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • GP’s name
  • Any medication you may be taking

For all other advice and treatment the practice should be contacted during normal working hours.

Dental Emergencies

Dental enquiries should be directed to your dentist who can provide antibiotics and painkillers.  An out-of-hours emergency service is available by calling the number 740230, where you will be able to discuss your problem with a dental nurse.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
